Re-awakening ...

April is the month of spring and spring flowers emerges from the ground before we even know it. I am always amazed at how fast plants grow in each season. Below is a picture of my peonies patch last Saturday.

...this is how they look like this Saturday.
Also, pretty soon, we will be mowing the lawn too, then we will be seeing lush, green, neat yards all over.

... our peonies in front of the house, some of them are about a foot and a half tall already.

Our Forsythia last Saturday.
Forsythia also makes an excellent cut flowers. I normally cut a few branches while the buds are tight and "force" them to bloom indoor, the blooms last longer in the vase that way.

...this is how it looks like this Saturday. I love the arching sprays of vibrant yellow blooms. Though forsythia's season of bloom is short, about 2 weeks, the beauty and charm brighten up any lawn, don't you agree?

And God made them all ... aren't we blessed?

I like the title nance 're-awakening"...spring is a new beginning. Ang bilis tumubo ng mga halaman ano? Forsysthia pala ang tawag sa yellows na iyan. I've been seeing a lot of that these days.Ako rin yata kailangan gumising lol!
