My neck-of-the-wood

For my family, friends and in between, lol ... here's what's going on in my neck-of-the-woods.
Soccer games started a couple of months ago ... meaning rain or snow, win or lose we are there to support our son, who is the goalie, and his team, and it's all worth it!

Street dance .... another yet successful performance of the Funk Uncle band, where our son is the lead guitarist, raising funds for the local hospice house. For more Funk Uncle post click Here.

Our little town had a Grape Festival last weekend, and to promote our church, we had a bake sale. Our cookies were sold out by 2:30 p.m. We also offered free coffee and orange drink for everybody. A picture of our space, beside our church, setting up for the day.

Sometime in the afternoon, I walked around the festival a little bit, and can you spot the human scarecrow?

Here's another display at the festival ... have you seen the biggest rocking horse? You need a step ladder to get up on this one! ... a life size!

Here's another angle.

Have a grape weekend everybodeeeee!

Ay kakatuwa yung street dance...it must a fun. Dito kaya sa amin kelan magkaka street dance? Puro siguro naka walker ang magsasayaw kasi our neighbors are senior citizens....haha. Kaya dito ang tahimik dito...no excitement at all...

Hay....sige nga post ka ng fall pictures....I love looking at the different flowers you post here. I saw the Bougainvillea pic sa post mo sa baba. It brought back a lot of childhood memories kasi they were everywhere in my neighborhood when I was growing up....

I hope your weekend is going great, Nance.

You've got a very talented son! I did see the human scarecrow, seated. And that costume gave me an idea what to wear on our Halloween Day at work.

Grape Festival...were you stomping grapes like the episode on I Love Lucy! Kidding!

Hi Tracy,
I am quite lucky to live in a place where there's always something going on, in my town or neighboring towns.
Hope it stays that way.
Good day, dear!

Doc,
Sure is. nice to know that you are safe from all those typhoons. I've been following the news and have seen pictures...what a devastation! my heart goes out to all of them.

That was a lot of fun, J. This time i invited a few of my pinay friends and they enjoyed dancing...alam mo naman tayo, mahilig magsayaw at kumanta. Post ko sana pero walang time mag-upload sa youtube.

The leaves are starting to change their colors, just my backyard alone looks so lovely in the fall. i will post some pics specially for you! ;)

Redlan,
Yes, the soccer player and the guitarist is the same person, he's my baby. ;) He'll be graduating hi-school this school year.
Good day to you, red.

You're funny, chubskulit!
we try to encourage our kids to sign up to a lot of school activities to keep them from being bored and it's healthy to have physical activities.
we keep them busy para di mag-isip o matuto ng masamang bisyo. ;)
