HE gives so much...but asks so little.
What a great illustration of life! A very creative post. If I fall, I would like to be able to pick up right away! But sometimes its hard.Hi Nance, I got the last week's link to TF.
Lovely. you know I was landscape gardener in Portugal. I love gardens and flowers. this is my first time to today's flower, but not last. Thanks for your visit and comment:)Robert

I do the same, the butterfly bush dies down during our cold winters. The seeds provide food for the birds and when spring arrives, the bush is cut back. During the summer, Hummingbirds and Monarch Butterflies are seen every day in the garden visiting the flowers.Thank you for sharing,Gisela
I love different seasons and you captured the change so well here.
Lovely color, Nance. Are the flowers shaped like butterflies?
Oh, how I love the summer look...beautiful.
You had a good idea to take photos of the same plant each season. Thanks for your visit, dear. Good week for you!
What a great way to show the cycle of the seasons! Lovely shots! And thanks for your nice comment on my blog! :)
What a wonderful plant, the butterfly bush. No winter version? In case I decide to grow one of these, I now know spring is pruning time.
Beautiful Nature. Congrats for your text.Luiz Ramos
Nance: Neat lesson on that special bush. Do you dig your Dahlias up and store them for winter?
Don't you love how that works?! And the twigs always look completely dead to me and I think I've lost the whole shrub...then VIOLA...life!! Pretty shade of purple this one, Nance ;)
Wow very clever post.. I finally joined hehehe..Here's my first TF entry. Hope you can come by!
The cycle of life...includes pruning. To be sure.
Oh Nance, thanks for sharing photos of the butterfly bush and how it grows. They look so dainty during summer.

What a creative post, yes, that's what life is...Thanks for sharing and visiting my blog too.
Spring is definitely the best time to prune the butterfly bush, just as it is springing back to life again.
