In the spring, I prune my Butterfly bush to this.

What a great illustration of life! A very creative post.
If I fall, I would like to be able to pick up right away! But sometimes its hard.

Hi Nance, I got the last week's link to TF.

I do the same, the butterfly bush dies down during our cold winters.
The seeds provide food for the birds and when spring arrives, the bush is cut back.
During the summer, Hummingbirds and Monarch Butterflies are seen every day in the garden visiting the flowers.
Thank you for sharing,
Gisela

You had a good idea to take photos of the same plant each season.

What a wonderful plant, the butterfly bush. No winter version? In case I decide to grow one of these, I now know spring is pruning time.

Nance: Neat lesson on that special bush. Do you dig your Dahlias up and store them for winter?

Don't you love how that works?! And the twigs always look completely dead to me and I think I've lost the whole shrub...then VIOLA...life!! Pretty shade of purple this one, Nance ;)

Spring is definitely the best time to prune the butterfly bush, just as it is springing back to life again.

hi nance,

good morning, ka-open ko lang, karating galing sa "Circle of Life".....walking sa akin.
natawa ako nitong words mo......:-)

daming gawin pag meron garden ano?

sigi, have fun doing it, so easy lang talaga......

have a nice Monday.

regards

Friendship is the most beautiful relationship on earth. Share this wonderful relationship with the most beautiful object on earth the flowers. Flower is the symbol of joy, love, happiness, and passion. Every flower has its own image and importance and its own emotion symbol.
