Thankful Thursday

Oh my, oh my ... this is a little late but I guess better late than never. Today is Thankful Thursday and I was so busy that I completely forgot all about it until Rhondi of Rose Colored Glasses reminded me. Thanks for the reminder, Rhondi.

Today, I am thankful for good friends. One of them came to my house early this morning so we could go blueberry picking. Thanks to the good weather, the blueberries are really sweet. We met up with another friend and the three of us went to the blueberry farm.
Since the owners are our friends, they gave us a discount, plus they let us pick some of their veggies like eggplant, purslane, (alugbati) and sweet potato tops. Afterwards, my friend invited us to have lunch at her house ... it was fun, and a relaxing day was had by the three of us. Thank you Inday and Josie for being such good friends!

Now let me end with this ... "Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another." 1 John 4:11

Hello Nance, friends are a blessing. My 2 girlfriends in the neighborhood have been inviting me to a book club and i have been iffy about it, because i feel book club sharings can get real personal and i feel weird doing that among neighbors, but i dunno how to say no.... meron kasi akong tinatago hehe. feeling ko baka masupladahan sila sa akin pag hindi ako nag attend... pero pupunta na lang ako siguro, bahala na, i need friends kasi....

Thanks Nance

I happen to love Purslane. Such a simple flowering plant. But it holds up well in drought. You can pinch a bit off and stick it in the ground as is. And a few days later you'll come back to see it's already blooming. Love such a robust little flower!

You've been napping? LOL

Yeah, thank goodness for friends. We need their shoulder to let out our frustrations in life. Who doesn't?

Have a blessed day.

Amen,,,,,,,,,,love one another....love our enemies too....
as God love us.

Sarap dyan ano? meron pang alugbati....parang pinas.
dito lahat galing sa atin,
kaya masayadong mahal.

narinig ko rin, dyan daw parang pinas, mabili lahat-lahat, hindi daw ma miss ang pagkain natin.

marasap yon talbos ng camote rin....kahit gawin lang ng salad ano?

thanks for sharing....

about the Onion cake, oo yon crust nya the same as pizza, pwede na.

onions here is also in season kaya, masarap kasi yon onion, tamis-tamis pa ano?

masarap pa kung meron fresh wine, kaya next month pa ang harvest season dito sa region namin.

tawa ako sa iyo....hindi lang yon ang amoy ng onions.
pati yon lalabas sa atin.....yon air ba.....lol

pero good for the health ang onions, right?

sigi, sabihin mo sa akin kung masarap ha?

schmand....parang sour cream din, kaya lang hindi fresh....fatty kay sa fresh sour cream....i think 28% fats as the fresh ones 10% lang.

or pwede rin fresh double cream man siguro dyan sa inyo.

sa amin creme frisch......30% fats din......

kaya i always used sour cream, kasi hindi masayadong fats.

thanks again for the visit ha?

Kumusta, Nace! Oh, how I miss purslane. I just learned today the English equivalent of 'alugbati'. Friends and great food are definitely something to be tahnkful about.

Thanks a bunch for your sweet comments regarding Joe. He's now on the mend but still very sore.
